SUBWAY Fails Health Inspection - Chicago Restaurant

FOOD PROTECTED DURING STORAGE, PREPARATION, DISPLAY, SERVICE AND TRANSPORTATION - Comments: Observed food (ice used for consumption) not protected in the ice machine, above the soda fountain in the dining room. Found excessive amount of black, slimy, mold-like substance on the plastic cover inside upper interior, throughout the ice maker including on the under side, and on the inside of the door. Must remove substance, detail clean and sanitize. Serious violation 7-38-005(a).
