ADEQUATE HANDWASHING SINKS PROPERLY SUPPLIED AND ACCESSIBLE - Comments: 6-301.14: A SIGN OR POSTER THAT NOTIFIES FOOD EMPLOYEES TO WASH THEIR HANDS IS NOT PROVIDED AT ALL HANDWASHING SINKS IN THE FACILITY AND SINK UNITS THAT ARE USED BY FOOD EMPLOYEES. PROVIDE A VISIBLE HANDWASHING SIGN AT EACH HAND SINK.

Blocked or unsupplied sinks force employees to skip handwashing, spreading fecal bacteria and viruses to food.

Handwashing sinks must be accessible, properly supplied, and used only for handwashing.

Each sink needs: Warm water (100°F minimum); Soap in dispensers; Paper towels or air dryers; Waste receptacles; Signage; Clear access; Used only for handwashing.

THERMOMETERS PROVIDED & ACCURATE - Comments: 4-204.112(B): THERMOMETERS ARE NOT PROVIDED IN THE SMALL COOLER LOCATED NEAR THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN. COLD/HOT HOLDING EQUIPMENT USED FOR TIME/TEMPERATURE CONTROL FOR SAFETY SHALL HAVE AT LEAST ONE THERMOMETER IN AN EASILY VIEWED LOCATION.

Inadequate lighting prevents detection of contamination and pests.

Adequate protected lighting required in all areas.

50 foot-candles at prep surfaces; 20 foot-candles at 30 inches in storage; Shielded bulbs over exposed food; Clean fixtures.

PLUMBING INSTALLED; PROPER BACKFLOW DEVICES - Comments: 5-204.12: OBSERVED A BACKFLOW PREVENTION CAP THAT IS COMPLETELY BROKEN AND WATER IS DISPENSING OUT OF BACKFLOW DEVICE, IN THE KITCHEN AREA. DISCUSSED WITH MANAGER THAT BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE MUST BE INSTALLED PROPERLY AND FACILITY MUST MAINTAIN MAINTENANCE.
