HANDS WASHED AND CLEANED, GOOD HYGIENIC PRACTICES; NO BARE HAND CONTACT WITH READY-TO-EAT FOODS. - Comments: Observed several employees not washing hands in between changing gloves. Also witnessed employees continuous wearing same pair of gloves while changing tasks (taking payments from customers, then handling food, etc.) Instructed all food handlers must wash hands in between different tasks, and each time they change gloves. Also advised facility can use clean utensils to handle food. Operator discussed appropriate handwashing with staff. Observed all employees change in hygiene practices. Critical violation. 7-38-010 (A).
Why This Matters
Hands are #1 vehicle for pathogen transfer. Bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods causes majority of foodborne outbreaks.

Wash hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water; Use utensils, deli tissue, or gloves for ready-to-eat foods; Wash hands after restroom, handling raw foods, touching face/hair, and between tasks.

Instructed to clean, sanitize and maintain. Observed small amount of black mold like build up around the motor in the top interior of ice machine in the kitchen. Instructed to clean, sanitize and maintain.
