Vomit and diarrhea contain millions of viral particles. One incident can contaminate entire facility and cause outbreak affecting dozens.

Written procedures required for cleaning bodily fluid events to prevent disease transmission.

Written procedure must address: Isolating contaminated area; Removing and discarding affected food; Using proper PPE; Cleaning and sanitizing with appropriate concentration; Proper disposal of contaminated materials.

THERMOMETERS PROVIDED & ACCURATE - Comments: OBSERVED NO THERMOMETERS INSIDE THE COOLERS. INSTRUCTED TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN

Inadequate lighting prevents detection of contamination and pests.

Adequate protected lighting required in all areas.

50 foot-candles at prep surfaces; 20 foot-candles at 30 inches in storage; Shielded bulbs over exposed food; Clean fixtures.

INSECTS, RODENTS, & ANIMALS NOT PRESENT - Comments: OBSERVED FRONT DOOR WITH AN APPROXIMATE 2 INCH GAP AT THE LEFT BOTTOM. INSTRUCTED TO PROVIDE TIGHT FITTING CLOSURE TO PREVENT RODENTS.

No pests or animals allowed in facility.

No evidence of pests; No live animals except service animals; Effective pest control program.

INSECTS, RODENTS, & ANIMALS NOT PRESENT - Comments: OBSERVED APPROXIMATELY 500 MICE DROPPINGS THROUGHOUT THE FACILITY. NOTED DROPPINGS THROUGHOUT THE REAR STORAGE AREA, ON SALES FLOOR UNDER AND ON TOP OF STORAGE SHELVES, ALONG WALLS BEHIND THE FRONT CUSTOMER SERVICE COUNTER, AND THROUGHOUT PREMISES. ALSO NOTED EVIDENCE OF GNAWING OF PET FOOD STORED IN THE REAR STORAGE AREA AND ON SALES FLOOR. THE PREMISES SHALL NOT BE INFESTED WITH RODENTS AND OTHER PESTS IN NUMBERS LARGE ENOUGH TO BE LIKELY TO CAUSE DAMAGE OR DISEASE. PRIORITY VIOLATION 7-38-020(a)

SEWAGE & WASTE WATER PROPERLY DISPOSED - Comments: BOTH TOILET ROOMS ON SITE ARE CLOSED DUE TO SEWAGE BACKING UP IN THE FLOOR DRAIN. NOTED HUMAN WASTE IN TOILETS AND ON FLOORS. TOILETS AND WASHBOWLS INOPERABLE AT THIS TIME. SEWAGE SHALL BE CONVEYED TO THE POINT OF DISPOSAL THROUGH AN APPROVED SANITARY SEWAGE SYSTEM. PRIORITY VIOLATION 7-38-030(c)
