ADEQUATE HANDWASHING SINKS PROPERLY SUPPLIED AND ACCESSIBLE - Comments: Observed broken hand dryer (and no paper towels) in the following student restrooms: girls 2nd floor north restroom, girls 1st floor south restroom, and in boys 1st floor south restroom. Must provide adequate means to dry hands in all student restrooms at all times. Must repair hand dryers or provide paper towels. Operator provided paper towels at time of inspection.
Why This Matters
Blocked or unsupplied sinks force employees to skip handwashing, spreading fecal bacteria and viruses to food.
Food Code Requirement
Handwashing sinks must be accessible, properly supplied, and used only for handwashing.
Specific Requirements
Each sink needs: Warm water (100°F minimum); Soap in dispensers; Paper towels or air dryers; Waste receptacles; Signage; Clear access; Used only for handwashing.

PLUMBING INSTALLED; PROPER BACKFLOW DEVICES - Comments: Observed the following plumbing issues in student restrooms: faucets not working (no hot/cold water) at sink on the right in 2nd floor girls north restroom; at sink on the left in the 1st floor girls north restroom; and at sink on the right in 1st floor girls south restroom. Must repair all wash bowl sinks to provide hot/cold water with adequate city pressure. Observed water rapidly pouring out of drain into utility sink in utility closet, cause pooling water on floor of room. Must repair plumbing issue, or modify plumbing to prevent pooling water. Must repair and maintain same.
